I am excited to have recently joined the Palgrove team as CEO. It is a privilege to be able to take on the stewardship of such a well-regarded brand and business. I am very conscious that we have built a reputation based on delivering exceptional genetics and service to our clients and we are absolutely committed to continuing this in the future.
The cattle industry has always been of special interest to me since I grew up on a sheep and cattle property near Blackall in Western Queensland and then briefly worked on cattle stations in the NT and Kimberley before commencing university. Since then I have had several commercial and leadership roles in the natural resources, investment management and agricultural industries. Most recently I was CEO of Daybreak Cropping which has built a portfolio of 75,000ha of Australian broadacre cropping properties over the past four years.
I believe the Australian Beef industry is very well positioned to meet future consumer demands with our reputation for producing a high quality product in a sustainable manner which is one of the many reasons I am pleased to be back in the industry.
On a day to day basis, there is no real change to how Palgrove operates and Ben Noller remains your point of contact for any seedstock enquiries. David Bondfield will continue to provide strategic advice to the business and remains a director.
We have a big year planned for next year with a Female Sale scheduled for 12th of March, Beef Australia 2-8 May, Palgrove Hunter Valley Bull Sale 4th of June and the Annual Bull Sale 10th of September. I look forward to meeting you in person in due course but in the meantime please do not hesitate to contact Ben on 0427 700 949 or at bnoller@palgrove.com.au for any of your seedstock needs.
Regards,
Will Heath
