Palgrove has formed a genetic alliance with GENEPLUS, a leading USA supplier of Brangus and Ultrablack genetics, who are consistently ranked in the top 20 seedstock suppliers in the US.
Both Palgrove and GENEPLUS have a breeding philosophy that is focused on producing phenotypically correct cattle that fit their environment maternally and structurally, while still maintaining the performance and carcass merit the marketplace demands. The alliance will provide a cross check of data information and verification that brings together the very best of Australian and US genetics.
Palgrove has been breeding Angus and Brangus purebred bulls for many years. Since 2009 we have pioneered the development of the Palgrove Ultrablack. These genetics were developed to cater to clients who require black hided bulls that retain a small percentage of Brahman (maximum 20% Brahman infusion only).
The bulls resemble a ‘tropical Angus’ with a sleek coat, pliable hide and the constitution that comes from their ‘hint of Bos Indicus’ and have the ‘meat quality of Angus in a tolerant heat package’.
The versatile Palgrove Ultrablacks work best as a second or third breed in a crossbreeding program over Bos Indicus or British breed commercial females and are equally at home in northern or southern production regions of Australia.
We believe our Ultrablack program is just scrapping the surface for the influence the breed will have on the Australian Beef Industry.
No matter what colour or breed Revolution really is the ideal beef bull! He was the highest selling Ultrablack bull in Australia at $70,000, selling in 2022.

He was used as a yearling, and heavily in AI programs. His first progeny are due in Autumn 2023.

He was the high selling Ultrablack bull in our 2021 sale at $35,000. On the day of sale he was 25 months weighed 912kg, fat of 12/9mm, 44cm scrotal, IMF of 5.8% and a huge EMA of 150 square centimetres.
We use Quantum to moderate frame, improve sheath design and add that extra thickness.

He’s one of cleanest made Brangus bulls we have seen – great sheath design, big scrotal, square hipped with the ideal combination of carcase and softness.

Csonka is a legend in the US Brangus breed, out of the world famous Brinks herd and brings explosive growth, excellent carcass & fertility to the pedigree.
