Livestock Systems and Registrations Officer

Due to recent growth and a desire to continue to innovate, we are expanding our Livestock Genetics team and are seeking a Livestock Systems and Registrations Officer to join our team at Macintyre Station, located 30 km north of Inverell. 

 

About the Position

As a Livestock Systems and Registrations Officer, you will be an important member of our Livestock Systems and Marketing team which works collaboratively with our farm teams, breed societies and clients. This is a varied role, with typical responsibilities including:

  • Accurately entering data into the livestock inventory program KoolCollect
  • Inputting and managing stud registrations and breedplan data submissions
  • Processing & submitting DNA samples and results
  • Assisting with the preparation of sale catalogues
  • Assisting with marketing materials
  • Maintaining data integrity and assisting with reporting and data analysis
  • Collating data and assisting with research and development projects

  • A strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring data integrity
  • A willingness and ability to learn new concepts and systems quickly
  • Solution-orientated problem-solving skills
  • Previous experience in data entry and management
  • Moderate Microsoft Excel skills
  • An understanding of the cattle industry and stud operations would be advantageous
  • Experience with Breed Societies and or Bull Sale Cataloguing would be highly regarded but not necessary
  • Experience with Xero, KoolCollect (or equivalent livestock inventory software packages), NLIS database would be highly regarded but not necessary
