Livestock Administrator

Palgrove is a leading Australian seedstock and commercial cattle business with a history spanning over 50 years. Macintrye Station, located 30kms north of Inverell is looking for new full time Technical Administrator for our livestock management operations. Home to our Ultrablack, Brangus and Angus Seedstock operations, Macintyre Station is a strategic asset in Palgrove’s portfolio. More than 4,500 head of cattle with industry leading genetics are run over 9,000ha of high-quality grazing and cropping country.

We are a small and friendly team at Macintyre. We will appreciate you for your attention to detail and exemplary data entry skills.  We will provide full training where needed.

 

About the Position

In this position, you will provide administration support to our Seedstock Marketing and Livestock Systems team.  This is a varied role, but your typical responsibilities will include:

  • Accurately enter data into livestock inventory program KoolCollect
  • Input stud registration data into BreedPlan
  • Maintain data integrity and assist with reporting
  • Invoicing, inputting creditor invoices and accounts receivable follow up
  • General administration and office tasks

 

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A positive, enthusiastic personality and keen to learn.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high attention to detail and ensure data integrity
  • Previous experience in administration and data entry
  • Moderate Excel skills
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Experience with Xero and NLIS database will be highly regarded
  • A livestock background would be advantageous but not essential
